Easter Sunday

This was posted original on Russell Purvis’ Weblog on Easter of 2013

God has been victorious over sin and rebellion. We no longer are prisoners of Sin. We no longer fear the sting of death. We no longer have to anticipate the gates of Hell imprisoning us. We have freedom. We have hope.

Over death and the grave stands Christ. He who was dead is now alive and vindicated. The defeated one has become the conqueror. We no longer abide be the rules of the world, but follow the heart of Christ.

The King has been raised from the dead, and so his people will one day be raised in Him. If we place ourselves into the communion of saints, we place ourselves in the hands of God. We are all called to be His people. We are declared clean to come into his presence and experience the promise of Resurrection.

“Will your grace run out
If I let you down
‘Cause all I know
Is how to run

‘Cause I am a sinner
If its not one thing its another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies
You are the Savior
And you take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful

Will you call me child
When I tell you lies
Cause all I know
Is how to cry

I am a sinner
If its not one thing its another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies
You are the Savior
And you take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful”

Brokeness Aside by All Sons and Daughters

…he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:8-11
